Modern Management

with many years of experience

MIB Industriebeteiligungen GmbH & Co. KG

MIB is a young venture – but the knowledge and experience of its management add up to more than 40 years of experience in medium-sized businesses and industrial investments. Founded in Wuppertal in April 2019 and with a focus on growth, MIB specialises in the acquisition, long-term support and continuation of medium-sized manufacturing companies. MIB’s management provides expert and supportive assistance to the organisations’ local management in the sustainable further development of its subsidiaries, while at the same time leaving it with the space it needs to successfully manage the company’s operational destiny.

Experience gained and practised over decades, a far-reaching network and long-established business dealings with each other characterise a high level of appreciation in terms of cooperation as well as a fast, entrepreneurally decision-making culture and, against a solid financial background, make MIB a reliable partner in solving succession issues. For owners, shareholders and external managers alike.

To be successful, you need experience, competence and qualifications. At MIB, people have joined forces to become business partners whose trust in each other has grown over decades of working together on joint success and continues to carry their cooperation forward. This provides them with a foundation that is as solid as it is valuable, enabling them to guide the companies they acquire in all matters with expertise and a focus on results.

Having worked as a tax advisor and auditor, Robert Spartmann has been applying his commercial, legal and economic expertise to the investment business for a long time: For 18 years, he served as a member of the executive board with great success for a listed, nationwide long-term investor and was responsible for the commercial as well as the industrial management of its subsidiaries. He supported numerous businesses in achieving growth, in some cases to a considerable extent, depending on their individual strengths and potentials, such as through corresponding investments in new technologies or opening up markets for new segments and countries.

Christoph Borges, a qualified engineer, contributes an extensive body of knowledge from industry as well as technical and organisational consulting to MIB. Together with his colleague Robert Spartmann, he has spent half a decade developing the model of long-term corporate support at the joint employer. He draws his know-how from around 20 years of activity in the industrial investment business with medium-sized companies. During this period, he has established new corporate units, held responsibility in various management functions and committees, including in a group of companies in the chemical industry with locations in Germany, Italy and Hungary.

Robert Spartmann and Christoph Borges developed the deliberately chosen niche concept for MIB, with which the investment company serves the increasing demand for succession solutions on the market.
